Welcome to AMBCC
The Alaska Migratory Bird Co-Management Council (AMBCC), formed in 2000, consists of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and representatives of Alaska's Native population.
The AMBCC's primary purpose is to conserve migratory birds through development of recommendations for the subsistence spring/summer harvest in Alaska. Subsistence regulations were first published in 2003.
WE MUST ACT NOW TO PROTECT OUR EMPEROR GEESE
WE MUST TAKE ACTION NOW! Emperor geese are only found in Alaska and a portion of Siberia. Most emperor geese breed on the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, but some nest along Kotzebue Sound or migrate through on their way to nesting areas in eastern Russia. Go to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service - Emperor Geese FAQ page for more information.
